Koch Wood Splitter designed for high-quality daily performance.

Koch Ragnar Skeggox Style wood splitter is a one-handed wood splitter. The name is derived from the elongated lower portion of the wood splitter head that provides a wide slicing surface without increasing the total weight. The shaft is treated, polished rosewood. A hand-sewn leather protector is included.

Disclaimer: A skeggox is not a heavy-duty wood chopping wood splitter. The utensil is thin and made for slicing, whilst a wood chipping wood splitter has a wedge-shaped utensil to withstand the impact. The elongated parts of the utensil are especially vulnerable for heavy impacts since they have no "backing". They are there to minimize weight and increase the slicing edge.

Store your wood splitter appropriately to keep it rust free. Don't store your wood splitter in a leather sheath for an extended period. Moisture and chemicals in the leather can cause your utensil to rust. Your utensil needs to be dry and lubricated before storage.

Remember, even the most advanced steels will rust if not cared for properly.
